Ages ago, i built a php app for processing pdfs made of mupdf. i even made a go at a MacOS version. it was never very good and it broke with MacOS updates. This new complete rewrite now available! enjoy.

Upgrading to Unifi Dream Machine Pro.
I’ve been using Ubiquiti equipment since the original PowerStation. I took it to the next level with Unifi. I slowly acquired more and more equipment until their controller software had such an incredible sight into my network and it’s workings. An insight that makes maintenance and troubleshooting effortless. Moving from the USG Pro to UDM Pro i immediately enjoy the faster speeds and the fancy touch screen panel. What i don’t like is it’s complete lack of integration with non-local controllers and the missing features in its switch component.
As you can see from this image, i am a fan of link aggregation. It is an inexpensive way to maximize existing infrastructure and improve network performance. Unfortunately, the 8 ports on the UDM are currently incapable of this feature. I was hoping to remove one of the switches from my closet as i move links to the UDM, but it was not to be. This seems like a serious oversight for a Pro branded unit. I am hoping they fix this with a future update, but will not be holding my breath.

Flipper Zero – the hacker tamagotchi!
After years of anticipation and excitement, my Flipper Zero has arrived! Software is still early yet, so I haven’t done much more than clone and store RFID, NFC, and IR signals. i am excited to see the interesting things me and my new dolphin friend will get up too.

I have implemented a test irrigation system using a solar pond pump. My sunniest balcony has no power and I always forget to water. Now i just need an alert when the reservoir is getting low.
Today we settle all our network certificates.
Continuing my security certificate mission, I’ve set my SSL sites on Security Onion. The certs are stored here: /etc/pki/ adding, renaming, and symlinking a few files here was most of the work. then update url_base.
I made that and some other changes to:
/opt/so/saltstack/local/pillar/global.sls
Definitely a Monday! Where did all the RAM go?
My system was running terribly for a while before the Application Memory warning popped up. Where did my 32GBs go?
I suspect that these numbers were completely wrong.
