Black Friday deals bring about RAID expansions, hand me down drives lead to more expansions. The 4TBs i pulled out of service had almost 6 years on them. Still passed SMART!

My final visit to the Encino Avenue bridge.
After reading of its impending destruction, i was hoping to pay the Encino Avenue pedestrian overpass a final visit. Unfortunately visits were discouraged. The messaging was a bit mixed, as the fence was literally tied up with string. i took pictures without trespassing. The 101 will shutdown between White Oak and Burbank over the weekend for the bridge’s demolition.

Flipper software is coming along nicely!
Thanks to the exceptional work by justcallmekoko, RogueMaster, and many others there is now native flipper support for the unofficial Marauder firmware for the Flipper dev-board. Marauder is firmware for the ESP-32 chipset full of security tools for bluetooth and wifi. The Flipper dev board doesn’t support bluetooth, but the wifi tools work and are usable from the flipper itself. I cannot wait to see what comes next.
Flipper Zero – the hacker tamagotchi!
After years of anticipation and excitement, my Flipper Zero has arrived! Software is still early yet, so I haven’t done much more than clone and store RFID, NFC, and IR signals. i am excited to see the interesting things me and my new dolphin friend will get up too.

Getting through a backlog of prints.
My 3D printer has been sitting half disassembled and sad in the corner of my office for weeks. A simple latch thwarting my repair. I finally sorted it out this week and it’s been printing nearly nonstop! i can even change filament mid print! watch live be3n.com/3D
I almost fell for the classic crypto currency blunder. . .

One of my older Trezor’s had a little hardware issue (USB port broke off). when i went to look for my paper backup, it was not where i expected. With no backup, I had no way to transfer the coins or tokens. This is essentially how coins get burned. Without access to the key, they aren’t your coins. it would be a shame to loose these assets, so i sought out a solution.
Luckily, i had some expert help. my guy, referred me to his guy. amazing work. Huge thanks to Bill, for averting catastrophe. now i am putting my new paper backup somewhere safe. (and somewhere else, also safe)
What is old is new again! XP on an M1!
I’m doing experiments with UTM to create a single purpose XP system with zero network access. in this picture, i am trying to fix a damaged system while simultaneously installing a fresh one. eventually got it working like a champ, and now it’s almost as portable as an app. Huge thanks to 4PCTechs for your insights and archive of ancient drivers!
My original shadowbox idea finally realized in all its glory!
This was actually the idea that started it all! It took me a while to finally complete it. I know that i am missing the serial mouse from the original Macintosh and 128. Despite having one, i decided to keep my 128 with all its pieces. Besides, i never touched one until after college. The mice represented here had my hands all over them most of my life. I am very happy with how it came out.
