After reading of its impending destruction, i was hoping to pay the Encino Avenue pedestrian overpass a final visit. Unfortunately visits were discouraged. The messaging was a bit mixed, as the fence was literally tied up with string. i took pictures without trespassing. The 101 will shutdown between White Oak and Burbank over the weekend for the bridge’s demolition.

So much energy and excitement. Every time i turned around, the crowd was bigger! Great music and amazing speakers. I met so many incredible people.
I was delighted to finally get to see the project that has been so long in the making. I enjoyed it immensely. I stayed for Time Bandits, but was too sleepy to remain to see The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.
Even with the pictures I have a hard time believing that this happened.

Why is it harder to buy a car then a gun? great speakers, great signs. we need proper background checks, close loopholes. this isn’t difficult. 
i found this piece downtown. makes me want to make something better.

John and the gang performed a pile of new work intermingled with classics and a few unrecorded tracks. It was an awesome show full of precious moments and supposition about drug enforcement or a legendary heavy metal club in Long Beach. We met some great people and had a wonderful evening.
